Bethany Charter School

A public charter school is a publicly funded independent school established by teachers, parents, or community groups under the terms of a charter with a local or national authority. Bethany Charter School is part of the Silver Falls School District but is governed by a separate Board made up of 5 individuals. 

We teach Kindergarten through 8th grade, and have approximately 135 students. 

There is no tuition to attend Bethany, however, we do ask families to sign a “Fair Share” Volunteer agreement. There are various ways you can help support our school! You could sign up to volunteer in class, on field trips, or for one of our fundraisers. You could donate time or a special trade to improve the school grounds or school building. You could donate items or money towards our events!

We currently do not have a regular lunch program. Students will need to come to school with a sack lunch, a snack, and a bottle of water. We do offer a hot lunch selection on certain Fridays. The cost of hot lunch is $3.00. We offer milk and/or juice daily. The cost is $.55 per milk or juice.

Some of our events include a fall carnival, an annual auction, various local field trips, science fairs, agriculture days, schoolwide Thanksgiving feast, Christmas program, book fairs, and bi-annual outdoor education trips for 5th-6th grades. 

Yes! Bethany participates in co-ed volleyball*, girls’ basketball*, boys’ basketball*, PE, band, choir, drama, Lego robotics, Ag Club, Battle of the Books, and elementary music.    

*Fee and physicals are required for participation in sports.
